Borchert fires the imagination, moves you and inspires you
The stage is his life: In the last 20 years Thomas Borchert has created almost all the significant main roles, and thus become the most successful character actor, and the one most in demand, in musicals in the German-speaking world. He is currently on stage at the Vienna Ronacher Theater as Count von Krolock in “Dance of the Vampires”. The Essen-born artist, who wrote his first song at the tender age of 12, also ensures pure emotion at the piano: “Borchert Beflügelt” [“Borchert fires your imagination at the grand piano”] is the name of this versatile artist’s solo programme, in which he mixes his songs with spontaneous improvisations in the manner of the best entertainers. “My songs at the piano under open skies and in the midst of this inspiring natural setting: I am already getting pleasant goose bumps, which I would love to pass on to the public at Lake Weissensee on 17 July”, says Borchert.
